'Palestina de Goiás' is a small town and municipality in eastern Goiás state, Brazil.

Palestina is located in the Southwest Goiás Microregion between the Rio Bonito and the Rio Caiapó. There are paved road connections linking the town to Jataí in the south and to Iporá in the northeast. The Serra do Caiapó lies to the south of the region.
The distance to the state capital, Goiânia, is 293 km. Highway connections are made by GO-060 / Trindade / Nazário / Turvânia / Firminópolis / São Luís de Montes Belos / Israelândia / Iporá / GO-221. [1]

In January 2005 the Mayor was Valdivino Rodrigues Borges. There were 9 members on the city council and there were 2,770 eligible voters in April 2006.
In 2005 the population density was 2.57 inhab/km². In 2003 there were 1,740 people living in the urban area and 1,608 people living in the rural area. The population has increased by about 200 inhabitants since 1991.
The economy is based on services, public employment, cattle raising, and agriculture. In 2005 there were 5 industrial establishments and 19 commercial establishments. There were no financial institutions. In 2004 there were 119 automobiles and 190 motorcycles in the municipality.
In 2004 there were 104,487 head of cattle, 13,140 head of poultry, and 3.480 head of swine. The main agricultural products were rice (12.5 km²), bananas, beans, corn (18 km²), and soybeans (55 km²).
In 2003 there were no hospitals and only 1 ambulatorial health clinic. There were 2 doctors, 1 nurse, and 1 dentist in 2002. In 2000 the infant mortality rate was 17,12--below the national average of 33.0.
In 2005 the school system had 3 schools, 19 classrooms, 41 teachers, and 958 students. There were 162 students in a middle school. In 2000 the adult literacy rate was 83.2%--below the national average of 86.4%.
In 2000 there were 983 households, of which 361 earned an income of less than 1 minimum salary.
