'''Palimos ng Pag-ibig''' (Begging for Love) was a movie in 1985 and turned into a TV series in 2007 for the first installment of Sineserye Presents. On the outside, it looks like a marriage made in heaven. But inside the thick walls of what they call home, theirs is a relationship waiting to crumble. They have been wanting a child for so long, but the wife does not have the capacity to bear a child. And when her husband cannot take it any longer, he decides to end his misery once and for all.

In this dog eat dog world, you have to stand up and carve a living for yourself, lest you want to get trampled by others in the rat race. This is the dilemma Ditas (Kristine Hermosa) has to face. Born in a destitute family, Ditas is left with no choice but to struggle with the daily demands of life. However, Ditas is also born with a strong resolve to make it in life, no matter what. As such, she didn't let her stature in life hamper her from building a promising future for herself. She makes a living by signing her own baby for money, a job that didn't bring her problems until a well-off couple approached her one day.
This is when picture-perfect couple Rodel (Diether Ocampo) and Fina (Rica Peralejo) enter the picture. Young, good-looking, rich... these two couldn't wish for anything more, as it seems that they have everything anyone could want. Unfortunately, both Rodel and Fina are eager to start a family, something that's nearly impossible as medical complications prohibit Fina to bear children. Soon, they hear stories about a certain babymaker, who in the end turns out to be Ditas.

Unfortunately, that is something that she can't entirely give, as her husband's happiness lie in having a baby.
