Hasselhoff gets parental rights back
Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Tuesday, May 22, 2007. Actor David Hasselhoff can now see his daughters again. One California court gave him his parental rights back yesterday. Tthe actor has agreed to be tested for alcohol 3 times a week. Earlier this month Hasselhoff was banned from seeing his two children when a video, leaked to the public, showed him drunk. He and his ex Pamela Bach have reportedly been in bitter divorce and custody battle for more than a year now. Actor Lane Garrison may face nearly 7 years in jail. The "Prison Break" actor pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving yesterday . Last year, Garrison was involved in an accident where one teen was killed and 2 others were injured. The teens were in his car when the accident happened...He was reportedly on his way to party with them. He also admitted to giving alcohol to the minors. He's scheduled for sentencing August 2. "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul is recovering from a broken nose. Her rep says she fell over the weekend while trying to avoid stepping on her dog. She wasn't hospitalized for the injury. But "Idol" fans don't fret...Abdul's injury will not affect this week's finale. She will reportedly be present on the show both tonight and tomorrow. Celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie premiered their new film at the Cannes film festival yesterday. Jolie stars in the film "A Mighty Heart" and Pitt's production company produced it. In a Press conference, the actress said she was nervous to take on the role in the film. She plays Mariane Pearl, shown here in this photo with Pitt and Jolie. Her husband, reporter Daniel Pearl, was taken hostage and killed in Pakistan in 2002. Former Beatle Paul McCartney says he won't launch a world tour yet. McCartney says due to "personal circumstances" he'll only do a few shows this year for his new album "Memory Almost Full." An entertainment website says the singer won't tour until his divorce with Heather Mills is finalized. A divorce settlement is expected next spring. That's all for now.
