PARO AIRPORT

'Paro Airport' is the main, and the only airport in Bhutan 6 km (3 miles) away from Paro. It is located in a steep valley on the bank of a river.
The airport has one runway and serves a single airline, the national carrier Druk Air. It also has its hub there.
There is four passenger and one cargo terminal and 2 aircraft stands. There are also 4 check-in desks and one gate.
In 2002, the passenger throughput amounted to 37,151 persons and the handled cargo was 90,983 tons.
