PATRIK ANTONIUS
'Patrik Antonius' (born December 13 1980) is a Finnish professional poker player, former tennis player/coach, and model from Vantaa. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, although he mentioned in an interview that he considers moving to Monte Carlo.
Antonius's aggression in tables has earned him respect within the poker community and he is often titled as a heads-up specialist.
Prior to his outbreak from the 'blue' he was first mentored by Marcel Lüske and after that by Jennifer Harman.

Tournament Poker
Antonius began making a name for himself on the poker tournament circuit with two finishes near the final table of World Poker Tour (WPT) event, 12th at the WPT PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, then 15th at the Bay 101 Shooting Stars event two months later, in early 2005. He went on to finish in the money in three events of the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
In September 2005 he made to European Poker Tour (EPT) Main Event final table, finishing 3rd in Barcelona. The next month, Antonius won the EPT event in Baden bei Wien, taking home the €288,180 first prize when in the final hand his beat Gunnar Østebrød's on a board of .
In December 2005 he finished off the year by finishing 2nd in the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada, winning $1,046,470.
In July 2006 he placed 9th in World Series of Poker $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, taking home $205,920, his biggest in the money that year.
Thus far in 2007 World Series of Poker, Antonius has entered numerous tournaments, yet he has only cashed in the World Championship Pot-Limit Omaha placing third and winning $311,394, making that his 9th WSOP cash and pump up his WSOP earnings to a total of $569,964. At one point he led in the chips, and he was able to knock out one of the poker legends, Doyle Brunson. After the event, media gave him a new nickname "The Black Lotus"[1].
Antonius has been featured twice on NBC's Poker After Dark. In his first appearance he finished as runner up, after losing to fellow poker professional Jennifer Harman, on his second appearance he won by beating Brad Booth in heads-up play.
As of 2007, his total live tournament winnings exceed $2,600,000.

Antonius is a regular high stakes player online. He plays regularly on Full Tilt Poker under the nickname ''Luigi66369'', playing against the likes of Phil Ivey, David Benyamine and Brian "sbrugby" Townsend.
He is also a regular in the Big Game, the high-stakes cash game at the Bellagio.
He has made appearances on the third season of GSN's High Stakes Poker and has been called up for the fourth season that is being recorded over the summer of 2007.
