Route description

Lancaster County

PA 625 is a mostly 2-lane road that travels through regions of Pennsylvania heavily populated with farmland. PA 625 begins in East Earl Township in Lancaster County, just west of the village of Goodville, at an intersection with Pennsylvania Route 23. The route proceeds northward, snaking through East Earl and the southern portion of Brecknock Township before passing under the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) north of Bowmansville. Two miles north of the I-76 overpass, PA 625 enters Berks County but remains in Brecknock Township.
Berks County

Northeast of its point of entrance into the county, PA 625 meets Pennsylvania Route 568 in the hamlet of Knauers. Between Knauers and the southern edge of Reading, PA 625 forms a large arc. At Knauers, the route points almost directly east. As PA 625 continues along, the road gradually turns to the north. The road than heads through Nolde Forest State Park, a scenic windy route en route to Pennsylvania Route 724.
From PA 724, PA 625 curves to the northeast, then returns to a northerly alignment just ahead of its northern terminus at US 222 Business southwest of downtown Reading.
