PENNSYLVANIA ROUTE 17

'Pennsylvania Route 17' is a 34 mile long state highway located in central Pennsylvania. The western terminus of the route is at Pennsylvania Route 274 in Blain. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 11 and U.S. Route 15 in Liverpool.
From 1987 to 1999, PA 17 existed in two unconnected segments, with the second located in northwest Pennsylvania near Erie.

In 1987, PA 17 was also assigned to the expressway connecting Interstate 90 with New York State Route 17, the Southern Tier Expressway. The designation remained in place until 1999, when Interstate 86 was assigned to PA 17 and NY 17 between Erie and Corning, resulting in the decommissioning of the northwest segment of PA 17.
