PERGINE VALDARNO

'Pergine Valdarno' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Arezzo in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 km southeast of Florence and about 15 km west of Arezzo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,157 and an area of 46.6 km².^[1]
The municipality of Pergine Valdarno contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Montalto, Ponticino, Poggio Bagnoli, and Pieve a Presciano.
Pergine Valdarno borders the following municipalities: Bucine, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Laterina, Montevarchi, Terranuova Bracciolini.
