PERI GILPIN
'Peri Gilpin' (born 'Peri Kay O'Brien' on May 27 1961, in Waco, Texas) is an American actress best known for the role of Roz Doyle on the successful U.S. television series ''Frasier'', for which she won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Gilpin is one of the children of the late Jim O'Brien, a Baptist minister who became a musician and was later a well-known and respected radio and TV News weatherman/personality in Philadelphia until his death on September 25 1983 in a skydiving accident. Her siblings, Marc Gilpin and April Gilpin, are also actors. Peri was known as Peri Kay Oldham before becoming an actress. She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated from Skyline High School, and studied acting at the University of Texas at Austin and the British-American Academy in London.
Career
With ''Frasier'' co-star Jane Leeves, she runs the production company Bristol Cities. Their latest project was a pilot for a US remake of the British sitcom ''The Vicar of Dibley'', with Kirstie Alley in the title role.
Gilpin is the voice actress for the character Jane Proudfoot in ''. She also provides the voices of Desiree in the Nickelodeon animated television series, ''Danny Phantom'', Volcana in '' and ''Justice League Unlimited'', and Kate Corrigan in the ''Hellboy'' animated films. She was the voice actress for several Wells Fargo TV commercials. More recently Peri has appeared in the popular series Desperate Housewives.
Personal life
She married Christian Vincent on July 31 1999. The couple adopted twins born via a surrogate mother in 2004.
She was named after the squirrel "Perri" from a Disney ''True-Life Adventures'' documentary.[1]
