![]() | Anatoliy Tymoschuk Anatoliy Tymoschuk is the best! Video by me. Anatoliy Tymoschuk was born on March 30, 1979 in Lutsk, Ukraine. He started out to play for Volyn Lutsk in the 1st league. After that, he was bought by Ukrainian Premier League giants Shakhtar Donetsk. There, he won several Championships and Ukrainian Cups, was runner-up numerous times, played in UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Cup matches. He played alongside many stars including the Brazilian international Elano Blumer. Tymoschuk became the captain after a while. In 2007, he was bought by the rising Russian Premier League club Zenit Saint Petersburg for £10 million. The club was making new reforms under the new head coach Dick Advocaat. Tymoschuk quickly became the captain there as well. He plays alongside many international stars from countries such as Belgium, Russia, Holland, and Slovakia, among others. With Zenit, Tymo has won the club's first ever Russian Championship, Russian Cup, UEFA Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup. Currently, he is participating in the club's Champions league campaign. Various clubs have been interested in buying him, most recently Bayern Munich offered £20 million. He also plays on Ukraine's national football team, where he is the vice-captain.
