PETER R. LIVINGSTON

'Peter R. Livingston' (1766 - January 19, 1847 Rhinebeck, New York) was an American politician who served as Acting Lieutenant Governor of New York from February to October 1828.
He was a member of the New York State Senate from the Southern District between 1815 and 1822, and from the 2nd District between 1826 and 1829. When Lieutenant Governor Nathaniel Pitcher succeeded to the governorship after the death in office of Governor Clinton, Livingston, as the Majority Leader of the New York State Senate, became Acting Lieutenant Governor of New York in 1828. He was originally buried at the Dutch Reformed Church in Rhinebeck, but later reinterred at an unknown location.
