Geography
The Madonie Mountains cover the commune. It is bounded by the comuni of
Alimena, Blufi, Caltanissetta (CL), Castelbuono, Castellana Sicula, Geraci Siculo, Isnello, Marianopoli (CL), Petralia Soprana, Polizzi Generosa, Resuttano (CL), Santa Caterina Villarmosa (CL), Villalba (CL) and the Fractions Piano Battaglia, Landro, Recattivoand Tudia.
Coat of arms
The coat of arms include a flamingo pink to rose to rosy white with three lillies and a golden edge. The color ranges from ocean blue to sky bloe to light snow-like blue to white reading ''Lilium Petrae''. The crown on the top is shaped with lilly-leaf and on top and peach circles on the bottom of the crown.
