PHI ORIONIS
The Bayer designation 'Phi Orionis' (φ Ori/ φ Orionis) is shared by two star systems, 'φ¹ Orionis' and 'φ² Orionis', in the constellation Orion. The two stars are separated by approximately 0.71° on the sky. Phi Orionis also has the traditional name 'Khad', from the Arabic 'خد الجوزاء' ''khad al-jauzah'' meaning ''Cheek of the Central One''.

φ¹ Orionis
'Phi-1 Orionis', also called 'Khad Prior' ("Preceding One of the Cheek"), is a binary star lying about 1000 light years from Earth. 'Phi-1 Orionis' is a spectral type B0 main sequence star which has an apparent magnitude of +4.39.
φ² Orionis
'Phi-2 Orionis', also called 'Khad Posterior' ("Succeeding One of the Cheek"), is a spectral type K0 giant which has an apparent magnitude of +4.09. It is about 115 light years from Earth.
