PHOEBE ENG


Phoebe Eng is an award winning Asian American national lecturer on race and gender issues who has been featured in several publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Newsweek.[1] She is the author of ''Warrior Lessons: An Asian American Woman's Journey into Power'' (The title is a tribute to Maxine Hong Kingston's The Woman Warrior), a memoir discussing how to empower Asian American women, and is working on a second book.[2]
Eng was a corporate attorney with the firm Coudert Brothers, before becoming publisher of the now defunct A Magazine, which covered Asian American issues. Currently, she is serving a four year term on the board of directors of The Ms. Foundation for Women, a national women's philanthropic organization.[3]
She holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.[4]
