PICKLE BARREL HOUSE


The 'Pickle Barrel House' is a two-story cabin built from two barrels. It is currently located in Grand Marais, Michigan. The main part is a 16 ft (4.88 m) tall barrel. A smaller barrel serves as the kitchen.
The Pickle Barrel House was built as a summer cabin on nearby Grand Sable Lake for the cartoonist William Donahey and his wife Mary. Donahey created The Teenie Weenies.
The Pickle Barrel House is on the National Register of Historic Places, No. 03001548.
