PIERRE GUéDRON

'Pierre Guédron', (born in Châteaudun c.1570[1] – died in Paris c.1620), was the composer of one of the finest Air de cour ''Cessés mortels de soupirer'', which is relatively unknown because it is not yet published in a modern practical edition for performance.
Guédron's ''Est-ce Mars'' (1613) was especially popular and is known in versions by
Sweelinck (keyboard), Scheidt (5 part strings) and Vallet (4 lutes of different
