PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN POCKETMODELS

WizKids Inc. announced on July 23, 2007 its partnership with Disney to create the Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean PocketModel game. Under the agreement, WizKids will be able to use content from all three Pirates of the Caribbean movies. It is scheduled for release in October of 2007. The game—themed after Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean movies—will be the first Pirates release to use WizKids’ PocketModel platform. The Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean PocketModel game brings ships and characters from all three Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean movies into the PocketModel and CSG worlds. The Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean PocketModel game is completely compatible with all previous WizKids Pirates releases. Each PotC PocketModel Pack will include two ships to be assembled, one island/terrain card, a treasure or crew card, a rulebook and a die and will be priced at about $4, just like the Pirates Constructible Strategy Game. The Pirates of the Caribbean PocketModel game will be available at hobby retailers nationwide, as well as stores such as Target and Wal-Mart. This is also the tenth Pirates release.
