 | Floramar Garage Demolition Video submitted by resident Chris Belloise: The community hoped for this day. Few thought it would come so soon. One of the most controversial, if not the most controversial, structures in Gulf Harbors has met its demise amongst the cheerful jubilee of residents. This large structure was constructed as a large garage with possible living area on a second floor. The structure sat abandoned and unfinished for several years after legal battles played out between the Association and the owner. After the passing of the original owner, the structure was sold to Gulf Harbors' resident, Herman Pleus, who was unsuccessful in reselling the property. Pleus attempted different strategies including the earlier demolition of the 1960's era home which sat on the same lot. At this time it is unknown what Pleus has decided to do in the soft real estate market once the structure is completely removed. |
