PONCE DE LEON, MISSOURI


'Ponce de Leon' is an unincorporated community in Stone County, Missouri about twenty miles (30 km) southwest of Springfield. The community was founded in 1882. A health resort (named for the explorer Juan Ponce de León) was located here and the community was named for the resort.
