PONCEY-HIGHLAND
'Poncey-Highland' is a neighborhood on the east side of Atlanta, Georgia, located south of Virginia-Highland. It so named because it is near the intersection of Ponce de Leon and North Highland avenues. Poncey-Highland is the home of Manuel's Tavern, which is a local political hangout.
It is bordered by Little Five Points to the east, the Old Fourth Ward and Midtown Atlanta to the west, Inman Park to the south, and Virginia-Highland to the north.
Also located in Poncey-Highland is another Atlanta landmark, the Clermont Lounge, "Atlanta's oldest strip club," according to the Clermont Lounge web site.

Poncey-Highland is also to home of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library established in 1982 in the heart of land that was planned to be an 8-lane highway, but was successfully stopped by the surrounding impacted neighborhoods. The Poncey-Highland neighborhood was established between 1905 and 1930 and has several historic buildings including the Ford Factory circa 1916 and The Plaza Theater circa 1930.
