POOLVILLE, TEXAS
'Poolville' is an unincorporated town located in Parker County, Texas along Farm Road 920, about 17 miles northwest of Weatherford, Texas, the county seat. It is home to a few hundred residents, and consists of two school campuses, a seed and feed company, a post office (ZIP code 76487), a convenience store, and a storage facility.
There are three churches in the town; a Methodist church, a Southern Baptist church, and a Church of Christ. The Church of Christ building is located just west of the town square, behind the seed company.
Fires came through this small town because of a drought.The drought lasted for 8 months.
Wes Nations, lead guitarist for popular rock band Blackwater, was raised in Poolville.
