POPKUM, BRITISH COLUMBIA

'Popkum' is a rural farming and tourism based community east of Chilliwack, British Columbia. The community is a part of the Fraser Valley Regional District and is named after a small First Nations reserve located on the Fraser River. The name is derived from the Halq'eméylem word ''Pópkw'em'' meaning "puffballs."
