'''Popular Mechanics for Kids''' was a Canadian children's television series, based on the magazine ''Popular Mechanics''. The show's purpose was to teach young kids how things work. It aired between 1997 and 2001 on Global. It is most notable for starting the careers of Elisha Cuthbert and Jay Baruchel. Jay was replaced after season 1 by Tyler Kyte. They were later joined by Vanessa Lengies, though all her segments didn't feature the other cast members. It currently airs on Discovery Kids Canada and BBC Kids. It also starred Charles Powell as Charlie.
The show was filmed in Montreal, and is currently distributed on home video/DVD by Koch Vision.
