 | Ataque ao WTC O World Trade Center Nova York, Estados Unidos, (informalmente referenciado como WTC ou Torres Gêmeas) foi um complexo de sete prédios na Baixa Manhattan, projetado pelo arquiteto americano Minoru Yamasaki e pelo engenheiro Leslie Robertson e desenvolvido pelo Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Foi iniciado em 1960 pela Lower Manhattan Association criada e presidida por David Rockfeller, que tinha a idéia original de construir o Center, com forte apoio do então governador de Nova York, seu irmão Nelson Rockefeller. O World Trade Center, Nova York, como a maioria dos World Trade Centers localizados em todo o mundo, pertencia à família do World Trade Centers Association. Antes da sua destruição, Larry Silverstein, realizou o mais recente arrendamento do complexo e o alugou para o Port Authority, em Julho de 2001. O complexo, localizado no coração do centro financeiro de Nova York, continha 1,24 milhões de m² de espaço de escritório, quase quatro por cento da totalidade dos escritórios de Manhattan. Mais conhecido por fatos que ocorreram na história das torres gêmeas, o World Trade Center foi envolvido por um incêndio em 13 de fevereiro de 1975 e um bombardeio em 26 de fevereiro de 1993. Apesar das duas primeiras catástrofes, o World Trade Center foi um pedaço da identidade de Nova York e foi reconhecido por todo o mundo como um ícone dos Estados Unidos da América. Todos os sete edifícios originais do complexo foram destruídos num ataque terrorista no dia 11 de setembro de 2001. Três dos edifícios desabaram: One World Trade Center (1 WTC, a Torre Norte), Two World Trade Center (2 WTC, a Torre Sul), e 7 World Trade Center (WTC 7). Volem donar a conèixer el punt de vista del col•lectiu de patinadors que s'agrupen per la ciutat i juntament amb ells realitzam una volta a Barcelona intentant incloure les parts més representatives de la ciutat: El mar, el casc antic (Raval) i una mica d'Eixample. L'etapa comença i acaba al Port Olímpic de Barcelona (1), amb les dues torres i l'ambient festiu com a protagonistes principals. Des d'aquest punt ens dirigim a Torre Colom (3), passant abans pel passeig marítim, la Barceloneta i el Museu d'història (2) i finalment pel passeig de Colom. Fins ara, el motiu principal, tal i com s'ha exposat, era el mar i la seva relació amb la ciutat. A partir d'aquí ens dirigim cap a l'eixample a través del Raval, on es poden visitar l'avinguda de les drassanes, Rambla del Raval (4) i Plaça Universitat, lloc des d'on entram dins l'Eixample i ens dirigim cap a Passeig de Gràcia (5) per començar el retorn cap al punt inicial mitjançant Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes (6), plaça Tetuan, Passeig de Sant Joan i Arc de Triomf (7); finalitzant al Parc de La Ciutadella. El recorregut indicat es recomana realitzar-lo durant la nit, horari on s'ha enregistrat el video, per poder gaudir més i millor dels diferents punts d'interés que es proposen, allunyats del tràfic diari. Finalment, gràcies als patinadors/es que han colaborat en el video deixant-se grabar alhora que ells feien la volta. English: The proposed itinerary is an alternative plan where sport and good environment are mixed with Barcelona. We want to introduce the point of view of the skaters collective, who go togheter around the city. In this itinerary we want to include the most representative parts of the city: the sea, the old town and the "Eixample". The stage starts and finishes in the Olympic harbour of Barcelona (1). From here we go to Colom Tower (3), leaving back tha maritime promenade, the "Barceloneta" neighborhood and finally the history Museum (2) and Colon street. The main motive until now was Barcelona and the sea, but now we go towards the "Eixample" across the Old Town, where we can visit the "Drassanes" avenue, "Raval" avenue (4) and Univeristy square. From here we go to "Passeig de Gràcia" (5), wich is situated in the Eixample, and we start the return way to the inicial stage throug "Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes" (6), Tetuan square, promenade of Sant Joan and "Arc de Triom" (7) finishing the tour in Ciutadella park. We recommend to do this itinerary at night because you can enjoy the different places we are going to much better, without traffic or noise.  | Seven (7) landings in Antarctica 南極遊記 南極遊記 探險號 (M/S Explorer) 在南極 沉沒後的一個星期 , 我們一行人297位 於11 月 30 日 2007 年 登上 Nordnorge 號也去南極探險． 讓我們寛心的是這艘船10年新 , 比探險號40年高齡的設備更現代化 , 體積大一倍 , 一星期前拯救探險號乘客的乃Nordnorge號 是也． 登船後發覺工作人員不願意談論此事 , 似乎談論此事會帶來霉運． 在一次坐談會上 , 挪威領導哽咽回答有關救援行動 , 只説: 你們想像在經過生死邊緣後 , 打電話給家人的感受就知道如何了. 整個會場沉靜得可以聽到 針落聲 . 從阿根廷最南的港口Ushuaia 登船 , 兩天經過浪濤洶湧的 Drake Passage, 這兒因南極的寒流舆大西洋的暖流交流而引起洶濤駭浪 ; 我們可以看到大浪打到四層樓高的船艙玻璃窗上 . 去南極時我們耳朵後面貼上止吐藥 , 手腕上戴環按住内關穴 , 勉強應付過去 . 從南極 回返再次經過 Drake Passage 时 , 正巧碰上狂風暴雨 , 兩樣法寶不敵 ; 頭暈嘔吐症狀出現 , 躺臥床舖 30 小時 , 以綠蘋果和餅乾為三餐 . 這般是 小事一樁 ! 看看同行者 : 有在跨下小浮艇登岸時被大浪打進寒酷海水中者 ; 有在登岸上岩石時滑倒者 ; 有在雪地行走摔倒者 ; 有在船艙不小心跌倒鼻青臉腫者 ; 有兩位德國 男女皆身材高大卻在智利南部 Torres del Paine National Park 被 70 哩時速的強風吹倒 , 跌得頭破血流 ,牙齒插入舌頭 以致趕緊找救護車送急診者 . 南極的面積約為美國的一倍半大 , 被太平洋 ,大西洋和印度洋所環抱 . 最高山頂為海拔 16,864 呎 , 平均高度為 7,500 呎 , 山頭覆蓋的積雪可達一萬呎高 , 海底的冰深可達2 哩 . 最寒冷約 -- 120 F , 終年冰雪覆蓋 , 只有西北半島夏季時少部分山谷島嶼露出岩石 ,沙灘 ,土壤 . 南極夏季 ( 12 月到 3 月 ) 雖然日不落山 , 大部分輻射熱能卻被冰雪反射掉 . 冬季 ( 5 月 到 8 月 ) 數月不見天日 . 遊客只有在夏季 12 月 到 2 月期間可以在西北半島附近的一些島嶼登陸 . 我們乘坐的Nordnorge號抵達南極洲時, 欲登陸 Deception Island 時卻因已有 30 隻船在等候排隊登陸而作罷 . 為了保護南極的生態 , 有42 國家簽署國際條約 ( Antarctica Treaty ) 同意此南極洲只可被用於和平用途舆科學研究 , 並且同意共同保護南極的生態 . 此國際條約有效期限至 西元 2042年 . 也規定每處總登陸人數不可超過 100 人 . Deception Island於 1967, 1969, 1970年時曾發生過火山爆發 , 導致兩座 Research Stations被摧毀 . 不能登陸 Deception Island使我們失去了在0 度 C左右的南極泡室外溫泉的寶貴機會 . 南極是世界上風速最快的地方 , 可達到 120 哩時速 . 由於氣候瞬息萬變 , 我們每次登陸上岸後遊覽觀光半小時左右就趕緊離開 , 生怕風浪轉速 , 使得小浮艇不能作業 , 害怕在天寒地凍中苦等被接回 (船公司有等過五 六小時風浪平息後才能接乘客的記錄 ) . 每隻小浮艇只容納 8 位乘客 , 幾隻一起按次序輪流接送近 300 位的乘客 , 如此這般居然給我們 7 次登陸的機會 . 範圍從 Yankee Harbor to Half Moon Bay . 包括 Eduardo Frei Chilean Base , The Port Lockroy British Base ( $2 買張明信片寄回美國 , 約 一 ,兩個月可收到 ) , 和 Arctowski Polish Base in Admiralty Bay 等等 . 氣候的瞬息萬變在出了南極後 , 我們經過 Cape Horn時還緊緊相隨 ; 就在快到Cape Horn時 , 擴音器通知我們馬上準備登陸 , 於是我們上 ,下身各穿五夾層 , 襪子三層, 帽子和手套各兩層 , 穿戴妥當 . 出艙前, Parka 外面套上紅色的救生帶 . 準備下兩層樓去套上船公司供應的雪靴以便登小浮艇之際 , 擴音器卻廣播説風浪轉速 , 影響登陸安全, 取消登陸 . 白白折騰10 分鐘 ( 可見我們已訓練有術 ---這是第二次登陸失敗 ) , 眼巴巴的望著Cape Horn 山頭上燈塔的倩影在我們面前逐漸消逝 . 阿 ! 鼎鼎大名的Cape Horn ! 我們卻如此無奈, 和它無緣相識而失之交臂. Cape Horn是太平洋和大西洋交流處 , 洶濤駭浪使其惡名昭彰 . 自古而來已有 800 餿船艦在此葬身海底 . 我們也驚嘆氣候變化之速 , 短短 10 分鐘 , 從能登陸變成不能登陸 . 每次離開和進來 Nordnorge 號都要經過噴消毒藥水的水管龍頭 , 防止污染彼此-- Nordnorge 號船和南極洲 . 這兒生長的植物只有 Mosses, Simple algae 和 Lichens . 還有昆蟲類如虱子 , 跳蚤 , 蜘蛛 , 小蝨 (mites) 等能夠在此過一輩子 . 沒有陸地動物能夠在此生存 . 天空有很多不同的海鳥 , 包括 Petrels, Skuas, Terns, Gulls, 和 Albatrosses 飛行在 企鵝 , 海豹 , 和鯨魚等的上空 . 約有15種不同的企鵝分佈在南極洲 . 我們去的地方看到三種企鵝 ; Gentoo , Adelie 和 Chinstrap . 只有Adelie和 Emperor 從不離開南極洲 . King 和 Emperor 身材和生活方式相似 --- Emperor 是最高大的企鵝 , 有 4 呎高 , King其次有 3 呎多高 . 牠們每對不自己作巢 , 而是偕同同類的聚在 Rookery一起生活 . 看過電影 March of the Penguin 就清楚Rookery 的生活方式了. Gentoo和Adelie 卻是用小石子堆圈子作巢來防止所下的蛋滾落掉出 . 也是同類的聚在一堆堆小石圈的企鵝巢形成的Colony一起生活 . 仔細觀察牠們生活 , 發現牠們也像人類一樣會偷竊 . 搖擺搖晃的晃到鄰近巢穴 , 不管有無企鵝坐鎮 , 明偷暗搶 , 銜起一小石子就走 , 放進自家巢穴内 . 被搶的如果在坐鎮孵蛋只能伸長頸子, 張嘴巴怒吼抗議卻無濟於事 . 眼巴巴望著辛苦叼來的家當被搶奪 . 尤其甚者 , 一而再 , 再而三的回來再搶 . 我們站開在旁邊三或四呎外 , 只能看不能主持正義 , 既好氣又好笑 . 我們對南極的一切生物敬而遠之 , 對一切靜物也如是. 南極洲是世界上唯一沒有居民的地區 , 只有訪客 ; 屬於全球的 , 不同國家設立研究站研究它的海洋 , 冰雪 , 空氣 , 氣候變化 , 動物 , 植物 , 石礦 , 和土壤等等 . 目前地球暖化存在的是非曲直 , 還在取得共識中. 南極洲存有地球百分之九十的冰 , 它如果融化將提昇全球的海平線 . 還有它的上空 (Ozone 層 )破洞都是不容忽視的問題 . 每年科學家訪客們不畏天寒地凍來此研究南極洲的過去 , 現在 和將來 . 冬季約有數千人 -- 約五分之一 的人員留待研究 . 這兒的艱險環境非親身經歷很難體會的 . 我們沒有深入內陸 , 只觀看影片瞭解他們的工作 . 深感佩服他們為科學 , 為人類奉獻的犧牲精神 ; 想像如果我們再年輕 , 我們願意放棄其他一切 , 來南極洲工作嗎 ? 不過最起碼 , 我們有義務要為保護環境而努力 . 義不容辭 ! 我們喜歡旅遊 , 當初只因這兒是全世界我們還沒有踏上的第七大洲 , 所以選擇來到此南極洲 . 意外的收穫是在這兒學到寶貴的人生課程---對生命和對自己 ; 在艱難困苦的環境中 , 我們更能夠交託和仰望 . 在信靠大我和自我中 , 更能發揮内在的潛能和力量 . 以致我們能夠不怕千辛萬苦 , 不畏狂風巨浪 . 這次的旅遊感觸良深 ; 每次登岸 , 工作人員不辭艱辛萬苦 , 為了乘客們的安全 , 不惜半身泡在近冰點的海水中拉拔我們 . 他們提昇和彰顯人性的光輝 . 使我們感到有如摸觸到了天使 . 有天使在保佑和照顧我們 , 不亦幸福乎 ! 我們在這世界奇觀中 , 觀賞這造物主的奇妙的造化 , 不亦驚嘆乎 ! 既驚又險 , 不亦刺激乎 ! 一切平安順利 , 回家和兒孫團聚 , 不亦感恩乎 ! 總而言之 , 言而總之 , 能夠和另一半天涯海角, 一起相偕 , 遊山玩水 , 不亦樂乎 !!! |
