'Portland Public Schools' is the public school district in Portland, Maine, United States. The district operates 18 primary and secondary schools. It is the largest and most ethnically diverse school district in Maine, with a student body made up of roughly 20% minorities. The district operates expeditionary learning schools, a vocational school, and elementary, middle, and three high schools (Casco Bay High School, Deering High School, and Portland High School).

★ Nathan Clifford School (Nathan Clifford School site): the current principal is Marysue Morrison, and the assistant principal is David Turner. The school is named after American statesman, diplomat and jurist Nathan Clifford (August 18, 1803–July 25, 1881) who is best known for being the 20th United States Attorney General and an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. The school is located on Falmouth Street in the Oakdale section of Portland, Maine.

Middle Schools (6-8)

★ King Middle School (King Middle School website): the school's current principal is Michael McCarthy. It is cited as one of the most racially diverse in the state of Maine: the student body represents seventeen countries and 28 languages. The school teaches from sixth to eighth grade and has sixty teachers.
