PRO-ACTIVE RECORDINGS

'Pro-Active Recordings' is an independent record label which has now acquired other labels such as Tent Records.
'Michael Barnett' (name change 1987) (born ''Michael Anthony Haywood'' 15/7/72) and 'Ashley Speight' (born ''Ashley Lajuana Speight'' 16/10/83) are the co-founders of the Pro-Active Recordings group, founded in 2005. The label has bought out smaller companies that were on the verge of bankruptcy, including Tent Records.
Artists on the labels have included Ant & Dec (PJ & Duncan), and friends Five Star and Bucks Fizz amongst others. The label also intends to recruit fresh new talent as well as remixing old tracks.
Michael & Ashley's remixed version of ''Heart of Stone'' is to be released this year., Originally a hit for Bucks Fizz in 1988. And the sixth major release on the label. Michael's half cousin, Antony Thomas Brant, was a member of the British boy band 'V'., who had 3 hits in the UK in 2003/2004., their biggest hit being a cover of The Jacksons "Can You Feel It" song., it was Anthony who inspired Michael and Ashley to get involved in the music business. Michael has only ever appeared on one mainstream chart single, when he appeared as an uncredited backing vocalist on his friend Scott Bradley's minor hit single "Zoom" in 1994 (reached UK #61), a song first made famous by Fat Larry's Band in 1982.
