PRO SHOP

A 'pro shop' is a shop normally found at (and most closely associated with) a golf course. The shop, typically located in the clubhouse building, sells golf balls, clubs, shoes, golf tees and other golf related items. It is often managed by the professional golfer who works at the course, though it may also be run by a separate manager at larger courses.
Pro shops are also frequently found at bowling centers, selling bowling balls and other game-related supplies. A house professional is often employed there to drill and fit balls, and advise on game-related issues such as the propoer ball composition needed for a particular lane condition or bowler's style. Pro shops are less frequently found at venues dedictaed to playing tennis or Football (soccer).
