PROVINCE OF VENICE
The 'Province of Venice' (''Provincia di Venezia'') is a province in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Its capital is the city of Venice.
It has an area of 2,467 km², and a total population of 829,418 (2005). There are 44 ''comuni'' (singular: ''comune'') in the province [1]. As of 2005, the main ''comuni'' by population are:
