![]() | Rock Band Official Drum Pad Silencers' Review These silencers are perfect for the QM set as I mention alot in the video. I have an EL set and you will hear just how much the silencers affect sensitivity. In my opinion: QM = $ well spent EL = waste of $ |

![]() | The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars (Rock Band 2 DLC Expert drums 5 gold stars) goodwood mesh heads review Well right now I have mixed feelings about these pads because I'm having problems with dropped notes. I think its just because I haven't found that sweet spot calibration setting (I really hate calibration because it takes so dam long to get PERFECT xD) Sure some will say looks perfect to me in this video, but its not. One dropped note you can see is at 3:10 for sure. I thought that I had it perfect with this setting but I went and played some other songs and started to have more problems with dropped notes like on Mountain song, a song I got a -2 run....but with these I had a bunch of misses. I thought it was just the blue pad that was giving me trouble, but yellow dropped rare and green so I must go back to the drawing boards with the #s game uuuughhhhhhh Aside from calibration issues, out of the box these weren't what I expected xD They were very hard and sturdy. These things were a pain in the ass to get on my QM drums, let me tell you! I suggest you have a power screw driver because I had a hard time with a manual one and they wouldn't go in, just spin and spin. I Also recommend Vasoline because the yellow and blue pads were the BIGGEST pain in the ass to get on. I was so mad I couldn't get them on I went to sleep haha took like a couple of hours, but with the right tools you can do it quicker. I'm not much of a handy man, but this was pretty simple. Take off the rubber plugs from the original pads, use the longer screws to put on the goodwood and unplug the pad (QM was easy just wiggle it out the sensor wire) I made sure the pad worked before I put it on the whole way I recommend you do the same. After I got the blue on, It didn't work so I had to take it off again. After setup, make sure you calibrate!!! VERY important (takes a while as you can see) these heads are AMAZING! The rebound is so nice its indescribable as is how quiet they are. You have to hear it to believe it, I actually hear the game instead of loud clackity pads. As of right now I'm on the fence. I sent Rich an email so I hope he gets back to me to help me out. Because I think these are amazing, and I want to get them working like they were meant to. I'll fiddle around with more # settings and I'll get back to you guys with how I feel if I can get them perfect. In addition, I had to lower the position of the pads because these pads are very thick. Also, as you can see I can do red rolls :p Stupid RB original drums....Enjoy the vid, I'm glad I got to remake this and I got gold finally! :D You glad the mesh heads came already! The wait was 5 weeks and I think its worth it. |

Can you guess? It's Windows Vista! Yeah, I know. The times of setting up the mouse actually adds up to 1 hour and 5 minutes. But hey, that just goes to show that Windows Vista is actually worse than I thought it was! What's the conclusion? The conclusion is you should buy a Mac, right now.
