The '''R/V Laurel M. Gould''' is part of the United States Antarctic Program's fleet of vessels for servicing the Antarctic program. The LMG chiefly shuttles between Punta Arenas, Chile, and Palmer Station, Antarctica. The LMG began operation in the late 1990s, under the management of Edison Chouest. It was built in Louisiana to replace the ''Polar Duke''.
