RAINBOW COALITION
'Rainbow Coalition' may refer to any of the following groups:
★ The ruling Kenyan political party National Rainbow Coalition
★ The second coalition of the Government of the 27th Dáil in Ireland. It consisted of Fine Gael, Labour and Democratic Left and was formed after the previous coalition of Fianna Fáil and Labour fell apart.
Also refers to the official pre-election alliance of opposition parties, Fine Gael, Labour and possibly the Irish Green Party in the current (as of 2007) Irish parliament.
★ The rainbow coalition of the Finnish government between 1995 to 2003, when a coalition of the Left Alliance (far-left), the Social Democrats (centre-left), the Greens, the Swedish People's Party (liberal) and the National Coalition (centre-right).
