RAY HOLT
'Raymond M. Holt' was a co-founder of Microcomputer Associates, Incorporated, along with Manny Lemas. Microcomputer Associates Inc which produced the 6502-based Jolt Microcomputer also published the industry first publication called the Microcomputer Digest.
Holt designed and developed the worlds first microprocessor chip set one year before Intel, the Central Air Data Computer for the F-14 Tomcat.
Microcomputer Associates was later acquired by Synertek and created the Sym-1, a 6502 based single board microcomputer and successor to the Kim-1 and further developed the Super Jolt line of microcomputer cards. The Super Jolt was still in production as late as 2002 (over 30 years).
Ray is part Cherokee Indian. His great-great grandparents were involved in the forced Indian Removal known as the Trail of Tears ending at Indian Territory, known today as Oklahoma.
