'Rhian Denise Ramos' (born on October 3, 1990 in Makati City, Philippines) is a Filipina actress and commercial model of Welsh-Filipino descent.
Rhian, whose full name is 'Rhian Denise Ramos Howell', is the daughter of Gareth Howell, a Welsh subject currently working in Thailand for a company that manufactures flooring materials.[1] Her mother, the former Clara Ramos, is a Filipina and is a native of Bicol.
Rhian's first foray into acting came when she starred in a play when she was still in Grade 5 at De La Salle-Zobel. Determined to finish high school, she initially declined offers to enter show business.
At the age of 15, Rhian began modellng. And it was when she appeared in a McDonald's commercial that she was noticed by movie producer Annette Gozon who convinced her to join show business.[2]
As a member of GMA Network's Artist Center, Rhian was asked to audition for the TV series Captain Barbell.[3] Rhian eventually won the role of Leah, Captain Barbell's leading lady and love interest. It is Rhian's biggest role to date. This led to other TV projects such as the Lupin TV series where she reunited with her Captain Barbell leading man Richard Gutierrez.[4]
