Honours Business Administration

The Ivey HBA (Hon. B.A. in Business Administration) is widely recognized as a top-tier program by employers, as many large firms recruit from the school.[1] Ivey's HBA is the only undergraduate program in the world that is committed to the case study method of teaching - some traditional business schools use cases as exercises to support lectures and textbooks, and many use Ivey cases.
In students’ first two years of university (before they enter Ivey), they can study in any faculty at either Western or another recognized university.
At Western, Ivey business courses are offered to students in their first and second year.
The first year in the Ivey HBA Program is typically the third year of university. Students work with the same classmates, in the same classroom with a dedicated faculty team. Students cover the essentials of what every good manager needs to know. Career Management is built into the curriculum to help students define their career goals and develop a job search strategy to get them there.

Masters of Business Administration

The Ivey full-time MBA is a 12-month program held at Spencer Leadership Centre. Two separate enrollments take place - one in May and one in September.

PhD

The first two years of the Program are structured to enable students to build on a broad base of knowledge and skills. During the third year and fourth years, students develop a thesis topic, complete the research and write their thesis. Throughout their four years of study, students will work closely with one or more faculty members to obtain hands-on experience conducting research.
Executive MBA Program in 2 locations

The Ivey Executive MBA (EMBA) is tailored for working executives who already have a significant amount of managerial experience. The program enables managers to contribute to their organizations while developing themselves. The program is specifically designed for mid-to-late career managers with at least 7 years of work experience. Average work experience is 14 years, with 20% of the class having 20 or more years of experience. Participants have a common goal to perform well in order to move up in their organizations.
The program consists of 4 in-class days (Thursday to Sunday) once per month. There are two intakes each year, one in September and one in February. Classes continue for three consecutive terms, each five months in length.
Downtown Toronto Campus

The ING Leadership Centre/Ivey Toronto campus is located in the Toronto Exchange Tower on the main floor. The GTA is home to almost 40% of Ivey alumni and 80% of participants enrolled in the Ivey EMBA program.
Hong Kong Campus

The Cheng Yu Tung Management Institute is located at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This centrally located campus officially opened in 1998.
Pre-business Courses

Ivey’s Pre-Business courses are available to students registered at The University of Western Ontario. They are designed to appeal to students who are interested in learning about business and/or who may want to apply to Ivey’s HBA program. Pre-Business courses are also required for specific degree programs at Western.

Research

Research is most valuable if it provides insights into relevant and important issues faced by practicing managers. Ivey’s cross-enterprise strategy has introduced a new approach to the way research is conducted – in part, to find answers to some of the most complex business issued facing leaders today.
The school has created four research centres to study a handful of critical cross-enterprise business issues. These issues include engaging emerging markets; building sustainable value; driving growth through entrepreneurship; and leading cross-enterprise.

Ivey Business Journal

The school publishes a business magazine, ''Ivey Business Journal''. It is published every second month. Some recent topics include managing uncertainty, knowledge management, marketing, strategy and other topics that managers need to understand to steer their firms to success. Articles are written by some of the world’s leading management thinkers, consultants and practitioners. They deliver practical suggestions that managers are able to apply to their own organizations.

Ivey Asia

Ivey was the first North American business school to establish a permanent campus in Asia – 'The Cheng Yu Tung Management Institute' - located at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This centrally located campus officially opened in September 1998, and the Asian campus completed its expansion in August 2005.
Hong Kong Executive MBA

Aside from the stronger emphasis on Asian case studies and doing business in Asia, the Hong Kong EMBA is the same as the Canadian EMBA. The professors and curriculum are the same.
