RICHARD SPRING

'Richard John Grenville Spring' (born 24 September 1946, South Africa) is a politician in the United Kingdom. He is Conservative Party Member of Parliament for West Suffolk, and was first elected in 1992. He is currently a Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party responsible for business links in the City of London.
Spring attended Cambridge university and graduated with an economics degree. After university he joined the international financial services company, Merrill Lynch working there for 15 years, becoming a Vice-President. In 1986, Spring joined E F Hutton International Associates as joint Managing Director - they were taken over by Lehman Brothers, where as an Executive Director, he ran their US equities division. Prior to becoming a Member of Parliament, Spring was Managing Director of Furman Selz, a Xerox subsidiary, running their European operations.
