RIMFIRE (BIKER MICE FROM MARS)

'Rimfire' is a recurring character in the 1993–1996 and 2006 animated television series, Biker Mice from Mars. Rimfire is the nephew of Modo, one of the three Biker Mice from Mars. Rimfire is voiced by Brian Austin-Green; as a toddler he was voiced by Leeza Miller McGee; in the 2006 series Rimfire is voiced by (?)-(not Brian Austin-Green).
Rimfire's name comes from a Rimfire, a type of firearm cartridge. It is called a rimfire because, instead of the firing pin striking the 'primer cap' (Rimfire's sister is called "''Primer''") at the center of the base of the cartridge to ignite it (as in a centerfire cartridge), the pin strikes the base's rim.

Character and personality

Rimfire is athletic, quick-witted, skilled with computers and adventurous – this last trait often getting him into trouble. His greatest wish is to follow his uncle and become one of the Biker Mice, and he briefly achieved his desire in the story ‘Break Up’, in which he was detailed to fill the gap left by a reassigned Throttle – much to Vinnie’s alarm. However, Throttle’s reassignment was aborted, and Rimfire ended up returning to Mars.

History and background

Rimfire’s first appearance was as a toddler in Modo's flashback in ''Back to Mars - part 1'', although he was seen later in ''Back to Mars - part 2'', as a teenager ans a member of the Freedom Fighters of Mars.
The implication in the episode was that Modo last saw him as an infant, but in ''Once Upon a Time On Mars'' trilogy it is revealed that Rimfire was already at least 16 by the time the Biker Mice crashed-landed on Earth (he states he is 16 during the Tug Transformer incident on Mars, but it is not clear how much time elapsed between then and the arrival of the Biker Mice on Earth).
