RIVER CHELT

The River Chelt at Withy Bridge, Gloucestershire

The 'River Chelt' is a tributary of England's largest river, the Severn. The Chelt flows through the western edge of the Cotswolds and the town of Cheltenham.
Despite a controversial flood prevention scheme the River Chelt has flooded parts of the town centre on two occasions so far in 2007.
