ROBERT EDWIN LEE
'Robert Edwin Lee' (October 15, 1918 - July 8, 1994), was an American playwright and lyricist. He is best known for two collaborations with Jerome Lawrence, ''Inherit the Wind'' (1955) and ''Auntie Mame'' (1956). Lee wrote using the name 'Robert E. Lee'.
Lee was from Elyria, Ohio. He attended Northwestern University and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University. His daughter, Lucy Lee, is the Associate Professor of Clinical Management Communication at the Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, California.
