ROBERT HAYS
'Robert Hays' (born July 24, 1947) is an American actor. He is known for his role in the 1980 movie ''Airplane!'' and in the 1982 sequel '' as Ted Striker.
Hays was born in Bethesda, Maryland, to a father who was a colonel in the Marine Corps. Hays attended Grossmont Community College in El Cajon, CA. There is a plaque in front of the Tech Lab mentioning him as a successful alumnus.
He has starred in several short-lived television series, including the 1979 series ''Angie'', ''Starman'' which he played the title character, and ''FM''. He played the role of 'Bud', the man thought to be Hyde's dad, in several episodes of ''That '70s Show''. Hays has also directed and produced for films and television.
He has also performed in many television movies and has done voice work such as the title character on the Marvel Comic adaptation of ''Iron Man''.
Hays was married to actress Cherie Currie, with whom he has a son, but they have since divorced.
