ROBINA, QUEENSLAND

'Robina' is the third largest suburb on the Gold Coast of Australia, and is the terminus point for the QR CityTrain
Gold Coast Line.
Robina is a popular visitors' destination because it offers the Robina Town Centre, a popular shopping centre which, like other Queensland shopping centres, is open air due to the weather. It is also home to Bond University.
Robina is the location for the newest National Rugby League stadium, Skilled Park, which was built using the multi-million dollar 'gift' from the Queensland Government. The stadium will have a seating capacity of over 25,000, and will be rectangular in shape, specifically meeting NRL requirements and those of other sports such as soccer and rugby union.
The stadium will be developed on a huge plain close to the Robina railway station, so fans from Brisbane and the rest of Gold Coast can easily reach the new stadium via public transport. The stadium will also be within walking distance of Robina Town Centre (a shopping centre) so that sports fans could go shopping before or after attending a sports match. The stadium will be completed in 2008.
The precinct around the stadium will include $20 million state-of-the-art training facility; training fields and a leagues club.
Robina is also a growing community home to many residents who have moved to the Gold Coast area. Since the mid-1990s Robina has been a growing suburb.
