ROCKFORD PEACHES
The 'Rockford Peaches' were a team in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League playing out of Rockford, Illinois for the entire existence of the league from 1943 to 1954.
Although the 1992 movie ''A League of Their Own'' features the Rockford Peaches, all of the characters playing on the team were fictional. Also, the team did not play in the 1943 league championship against the Racine Belles, as depicted in the film. The Belles played the Kenosha Comets.
The Peaches won the league championship in 1945, 1948, 1949, and 1950.
