ROCKIN' THE SUBURBS

'''Rockin' the Suburbs''' is an alternative rock album by singer/songwriter Ben Folds, released on September 11, 2001 (see 2001 in music). His first solo album after leaving his band ''Ben Folds Five'' (not including the 1998 collaboration with William Shatner, widely seen as a largely experimental album and released while still a part of Ben Folds Five), ''Rockin' the Suburbs'' is also Folds' most popular LP to date, and includes the well-known title track.
"Rockin' the Suburbs" peaked at #28 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. The album peaked at #42 on the Billboard 200 chart, and at #11 on the Top Internet Albums chart. A remake of the title track featuring William Shatner appeared in the soundtrack for the 2006 film ''Over the Hedge'', which stars Shatner as a possum named Ozzie.
