ROCKMELONS

The 'Rockmelons' were an Australian Pop/Dance/R&B group; based around producers Bryon Jones, Jonathon Jones and Raymond Medhurst (but live shows could incorporate as many as 12-13 members onstage).
The group conept was formed at a warehouse party in Sydney in the early '80s. They won an ARIA Award for Breakthrough Album in 1989 for their debut, Tales of the City; and were nominated for the Album Of The Year award in 1993 (for Form One Planet. Bryon Jones continues to work in the Australian music industry, having worked as a producer for artists such as Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll (sometimes credited as "Byron Jones").
