The Le Tekrø sound

Ronni tends to play his guitar at a very fast pace with more emphasis on distortion and pace than volume. He often uses arpeggios, like in the solo in "Intuition". Ronni is known for improvising and is known as a creative person among people surrounding him.
He has his own band, 'Ronni Le Tekrø Project', with the other original members of TNT (with the exception of Tony Harnell) with Ronni on vocals and guitar, Morty Black on bass, Frode Lamoy on drums.
He covered Alice Cooper's "Welcome To my Nightmare" in his solo album ''Extra Strong String''. He is known for pioneering the "machine gun" guitar playing style (without the use of a pedal). Le Tekrø has collaborated with the Norwegian guitarist and composer Terje Rypdal on several of Rypdal's albums. Ronni's vocals tend to be deep, with emphasis on vibrato and falsetto. His inspirations as a guitarist include Brian May, Jimmy Page, Brian Robertson, Jimi Hendrix, and Ted Nugent.
In the '80s he was rated one of the best guitarists in the world, and several webpages state he is also on of the most influential ones.

Equipment

The most known of Ronni's guitars must be the so called "Holocaster".
A heavy personalized Fender Stratocaster. The head is signed by close friend Brian Robertson from Thin Lizzy and formerly Motörhead. It is said that the guitar is insured for around NOK 1,000,000 (US$130,000) and will not be sold to anyone by any means.
He is also known for pioneering the use of the Quarterstepper Guitars. This guitar has twice as many frets as normal guitars do below the 15th fret. Normal guitars have frets like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5..., but this Quarter Stepper has frets of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5... This guitar was invented by Hamburger Guitars and Ronni himself.
He uses a wide range of pedals:

★ OD-1 Overdrive

★ BF-2 Flanger

★ CE-2 Chorus
For live performances he often uses:

★ Roland RE-150 Space Echo Tape Delay,

★ Dunlop CryBaby

★ Digitech Whammy II
