ROSENSTIEL SCHOOL OF MARINE AND ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE
The 'Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science' ('RSMAS' //) is the graduate school of marine and atmospheric science within the University of Miami. It is located on a 16 acre (65,000 m²) campus on Virginia Key in Miami, Florida. The school has its own research vessel, the ''RV F. G. Walton Smith'', named after the founder of the school.
It is the only subtropical applied and basic marine and atmospheric research institute in the continental United States.
It has courses in the following disciplines:
