ROSS ANDERSON (SKIER)

'Ross Anderson' is a Native American speed skier. He bills himself as the "World’s Fastest American Indian on Mother Earth." On April 19, 2006 he set a new record, for a speed skier from the Western Hemisphere, of 154.06 mph (247.93 km/h); this places him 9th in the world all-time ranking.[1]

He grew up in Durango, Colorado.[2] He lives in Ruidoso, New Mexico where he serves as the Marketing Manager for Ski Apache, a winter sports resort located on the 11,981-foot (3,652 m) mountain Sierra Blanca and owned and operated by the Mescalero Apache tribe.
