ROY FIRESTONE
'Roy Firestone' (born on December 8, 1953 in Miami Beach, Florida) is a commentator and sports journalist.
Firestone is a graduate of Miami Beach High School and the University of Miami.
He began his career and as a sports anchor and reporter in Miami Beach before moving to Los Angeles as a sports anchor, from 1977 to 1985, for KCBS-TV. From 1980-90, he was the host of ESPN's ''SportsLook'' and was also the host of ''Up Close Prime Time''.
In addition to being a journalist, Firestone is also a critically-acclaimed performer. He has made appearances on the ''Late Show with David Letterman'', ''Larry King Live'', and ''Nightline''. He has also performed for numerous corporate clients including Anheuser Busch, Chevron, Nike and Toyota.
Also known as a big fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
He starred in a Married with Children and presented the Al Bundy Sport Spectacular.
Currently, he is the host of HDNet's ''Face to Face with Roy Firestone'' and AOL's ''Time Out with Roy Firestone''.
Firestone also appeared in the 1996 hit movie ''Jerry Maguire'', which, in part, was based on the character ("Bob Sugar") of fellow University of Miami graduate Drew Rosenhaus, an NFL agent notorious for his aggressive representation of NFL players.
Firestone lives in Los Angeles, California.
