ROYAL NETHERLANDS ARMY

The 'Royal Netherlands Army' (Koninklijke Landmacht) is the land forces element of the military of the Netherlands. The core fighting element of the army is divided into three separate brigades: two mechanised and one airmobile.

★ 88 Leopard 2A6 main battle tanks (28 on storage, due personal shortages. This makes the number of active tanks 60 plus 22 for training purposes, those tanks can be made active in time of war)

★ 194 CV-9035 infantry fighting vehicles (first order was 184, later another 10 training versions)

★ 600 AIFV (YPR-765) infantry fighting vehicles. Several versions: Armoured personnel carrier (APC), Anti-Tank, Command Post Vehicle, Reconnaissance, Engineering, Battle Damage Repair, Recovery (YPR806), Cargo, Battlefield Ambulance. The YPR-765 is internationally known under the name AIFV, which was developed based on the M113. APC/IFV version and some command variants will be replaced by CV-90, see below. Support versions will be replaced by versions of the Fennek and Boxer)

★ 220 (410) Fennek armoured cars (reconnaissance, general purpose, anti-tank infantry carrier, air defence vehicle (410 ordered, end of delivery will be in 2009))

★ 200 Boxer armoured fighting vehicles (probably another 200 on option)
