'Royal Palm Beach' is a village in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 21,523 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 30,371.[1] Contrary to the name of the village, it is located approximately fifteen miles inland, from the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, in an area known as the Western Communities.
Royal Palm Beach was incorporated in 1959.
In 1990, Royal Palm Beach was named as a Tree City USA. Its entire area is designated as a bird sanctuary.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 26.1 km² (10.1 mi²). 25.6 km² (9.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it (1.79%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 21,523 people, 7,604 households, and 5,976 families residing in the village. The population density was 840.3/km² (2,176.0/mi²). There were 8,083 housing units at an average density of 315.6/km² (817.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 78.15% White, 14.21% African American, 0.28% Native American, 2.63% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 2.30% from other races, and 2.38% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11.83% of the population.
There were 7,604 households of which 63.9% were childfree married couples, 42% had children under the age of 18 living in them, 11% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.4% were non-related individuals. 17.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.83 and the average family size was 3.20.
In the village the population was spread out with 28.6% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 20.8% from 45 to 64, and 13.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.6 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $54,766, and the median income for a family was $61,063. Males had a median income of $39,356 versus $29,991 for females. The per capita income for the village was $21,875. About 3.7% of families and 4.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.2% of those under age 18 and 5.9% of those age 65 or over.
As of 2000, speakers of English as a first language accounted for 85.80% of all residents, while Spanish was at 11.49%, and Tagalog as a mother tongue made up 0.48% of the population.[2]
Royal Palm Beach is governed by a Mayor and a City Council.
