SAN MARCELLO

'San Marcello' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region Marche, located about 25 km west of Ancona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,982 and an area of 25.5 km².^[1]
The municipality of San Marcello contains the ''frazione'' (subdivision) Acquasanta.
San Marcello borders the following municipalities: Belvedere Ostrense, Jesi, Maiolati Spontini, Monsano, Monte San Vito, Morro d'Alba.
